By Amy Williams, Staff Writer

FRESNO STATE -- The Bulldog Newspaper Foundation announced on Monday that its World Wide Web Site page views for the Bulldog Newspaper were 1.172 million, up 227,000 since last year at the same time.
This astounding popularity of the Bulldog Newspaper traffic was also reported mirrored by other student newspaper in academe.
For example, the College Publisher, another leading provider of publishing technologies and marketing services for student news, also published this week its 2001 College Newspaper Survey of more than 650 student newspapers. Key findings from the survey include:

* 36% of respondents are selling online advertising
* 43% reported being able to publish online editions  in two hours or    less, largely attributable to greater efficiencies generated from    web-  based publishing systems
* 81% of respondents believe that strengthening their online edition is    a    key priority over the next 12 months
* 69% of respondents indicated that sending content via email is an    essential feature in order to engage readers and increase page   views.

The 2001 College Newspaper Survey is intended to be a comprehensive and useful resource for the Collegiate Publishing Market.
College Publisher Inc. is widely advertised as a publishing and marketing service in collegiate news service.
The Bulldog Newspaper Foundation the independent student news service at Fresno State is one of the fastest growing online digfital publishing firms in the colleg newspaper market today.
